So since I have time I'v decided to jot down some things I am thankful for this year. Sometimes I think I spend too much time just getting through the day and although I may be happy and thankful, I dont actually stop to recognise what is making me thankful and really say a prayer at that moment of thanksgiving which we are asked to do.
Ps. 92: 1
1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
Eph. 5: 20
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
1 Thes. 5: 18
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Mosiah 26: 39
39 And they did admonish their brethren; and they were also admonished, every one by the word of God, according to his sins, or to the sins which he had committed, being commanded of God to pray without ceasing, and to give thanks in all things.
So here are some things I am thankful for:
Family, no matter how messed up it is
Health
Friends
A Job
The Singles Ward
My Scholarship for school
My Talents
A Testimony of where I come from, Why I am here, and where I am going
Heavenly Father and the direct communation with him through Prayer
The Scriptures
Being born in this age with technology
