Ingrids Birthday Fun: Pirate Pool Party and 1920's with Al Capone

This weekend after much stressing and planning of Ingrids Birthday I finally got to reap the benefits of it all. Saturday afternoon we spent a day at Juli's apartment pool which is beach style, meaning the pool has no stairs but gradually declines like a beach, so cool and fun! The theme was Pirates! We found really cute Pirate duckies at party city and cool knick knacks to decorate with. Also Jasem decided to use his boredom and creative streak to make Ingrid her own flag...lol and as much as it is cool its also very creepy.

So we swim and mess around until its time for cake! Jasem again did this, it was the first time I relinquished my cake baking for someone else to do and think that he did a good job. Ingrid ended up licking the frosting off of the Skeleton which made some great cannibal pictures :D

After the pool party we go to Ingrids house to change into our costumes and surprise her by telling her to put on her flapper outfit. Now due to the extreme of this outfit she was very scared to go out in pubic and had no idea what we were planning...I love messing with peoples minds hehe. So we all get ready and Im wearing a black dress I had bought a couple months ago (when I had money) which was on sale ($180 to $30 woot!) and never found anything to wear it to. So I bought some fringe at Jo Anns and my mom sewed it to the hem creating a great 1920's inspired flapper dress! So simple yet drastic, I spent the rest of Friday night wearing it around the house and twirling watching it sway and move. I swear I really am almost 20 lol. So we drive and drive all the way to 192 next to Old Town, Capones Dinner Theater Show! We came here because of the great 1/2 off discount...which we later realize was for a good reason.

As we are taking pictures out in front of the building we have tourists staring and some actually take pictures while we are posing for our own cameras and these people actually ask if they can take pictures with us! So of course we say "Sure!" because its how we get our kicks. Im pretty sure that was the highlight of everyones day not just mine, we are perfectly at our happiest when dressing up and taking pictures. I sure do wish we would have charged them, at least enough for the tolls home lol! We enter and see the actual characters talking with the guests and they start joking with us.

So their dinner is Itallian buffet style, very yummy lasagna but long line. The show starts and right away in the first song we can tell its going to be a long night. I dont mean to be picky but.... I would have paid $10 extra to see the Pirate dinner show if I knew how bad this was. Not everything was bad though, I could tell that one of the girls was sick and therefore her deep alto voice was really weird and not projecting and the squeeky blonde was not good at singing with her character voice. But we got through it and if anything it was a place to wear our outfits finally and just have fun. Id recommend the show to anyone who is not Musically inclined, its too distracting if you are. But still much fun and worth it.

Fall Semester and Life as I know it :D

So I know I havent posted in a very long time but just to let everyone know my teeth are pretty good and healing well. Woohoo its over! And on to new and more important things... well maybe not very important since life has decided to deny me of excitement at this time, but oh well I make the best of what I have, and that is people who love me.
This is my second year at Valencia and I am taking Fundamentals of Biology, Elightenment & Romanticism Humanities, Statistics, and Abnormal Psychology. Going to school in the morning and at night due to Valencias scheduling this term. THis makes my job search even harder since I know have weird midday hours. Im still looking and still hoping that anything will come up! But classes are going good and Im pretty happy with all of them but maybe a little nervous about Humanities because the teacher is not what I expected. But Im sure that if I study and come out of my shell in class and speak out on discussions I'll get on her good side if that possible. So my new major lol is going to be Hospitality! Im looking at UCF's Rosen College of Hospitality, which is located by Universal Studios. Its a long and time consuming drive but then I can work at one of the theme parks and also go to school there and it will still be cheaper than going away to school somewhere else.
After taking a new member (Brittany) to the Singles ward 2 months ago, I have been going ever since. Starting that first Sunday with the help of the sociable Brittany we met a group of singles which were very fun to hang out with. Through all of this I have decided to once again transfer my records to the College Park Ward....again lol. Second times a charm! I was very hesitant because I have grown to absolutely LOVE my calling inside and out and just did not want to give it up! But I need to get out there and mingle with other people my age which means putting my trust in the Lord to take me where he wants me to go.
Well thats all for now, more to come later once I have more time...which should be soon since I have no job. But I leave my limited audience and all of cyberspace with this closing message from the philosophies of Angelas mind and also from General Conference talk. "The phrase "For My Soul Delighteth," should really be emphasized in our lives more. I have made it my personal goal to conciously embrace the things that make my soul delight. For my soul delighteth in the cool morning dew. For my soul delighteth in the Spirit which is so boldly and powerfully present in Music. For my soul delighteth in the love that Christ and HEavenly Father has for me. For my soul delighteth in the feeling of comfort I get from reading the scriptures. For my soul delighteth in the brilliance of color on this earth. For my soul delighteth in my soul delighting!"
